03.1 Development
WebDevelopment.
01 / 04Every page starts as structure: what each part is, not how it looks.
02 / 04Then the style, written for this site only. No theme of a thousand options.
03 / 04Behaviour comes last, and only where it helps.
04 / 04The result: fewer requests, less code, a site that flies.

What it is
Built for your business, not for everyone's.
Custom website development means the site is written for your content and your goals, instead of being assembled from a general-purpose theme or page builder that tries to suit every business at once. You get exactly the features you need, and none of the code you do not.
We build on WordPress when you need an editor your team already knows, and go fully custom when the project calls for it. Either way the front end is hand-written: semantic HTML, a small stylesheet, JavaScript only where it earns its place, and Core Web Vitals treated as a requirement, not an afterthought.
Design and development sit in the same team, so the site looks like the approved design, and the people who designed it check it before launch. Read why we think a website is a business system, not a brochure.
Proof, from our own site
We rebuilt this website first.
This site used to run on a popular page builder. In October 2026 we rebuilt it as a hand-written theme, with the same design and every URL kept. These are the real measurements, before and after.
Less code means faster pages on slow phones, fewer things that can break, and nothing running in the background when nobody is looking.

The honest comparison
Page builder or hand-built?
Page builders are good at one thing: getting something online fast. Here is where they cost you later, and where they are honestly the cheaper choice.
What you get
A site you can run without us.
Hand-written front end
Semantic HTML, a lean stylesheet and minimal JavaScript, built from the approved design.
An editor that fits
WordPress with custom blocks or fields, so your team edits content without breaking the layout.
SEO built in
Clean URLs, structured data, fast pages, sitemaps and redirects from any old URLs.
Accessibility
Keyboard navigation, readable contrast, labels and focus states, built to WCAG guidelines.
Privacy and consent
Analytics and pixels that load only after consent, with a cookie banner that is not a dark pattern.
Launch and handover
Staging, a launch checklist, monitoring and training, plus a git repository you own.
Stack
Boring where it should be, modern where it matters.
We choose proven tools and keep the stack small, so the site is easy to host, update and hand over. This is what we use most often.
How we work
From brief to live.
You get a clear timeline before we start.
Plan
Goals, content, sitemap and the features that matter. Old URLs are mapped so search rankings carry over.
Design
UX flows and high-fidelity UI for every key template, approved before development starts.
Build
Development on a private staging site you can see at any time, with regular reviews.
Launch
Speed, accessibility and SEO checks, redirects, analytics, then go live and monitor.
Launch day
What we check before we switch it on.
Most problems after a launch were visible before it. This is the checklist every site passes.
- Every old URL redirected. A full map of old addresses to new ones, with permanent 301 redirects.
- Staging locked away. The test site stays private and out of Google; the live site is indexable.
- Search Console and sitemap. Verified, sitemap submitted, coverage watched in the first weeks.
- Analytics with consent. GA4 and pixels firing only after consent, with key events tested.
- Forms that arrive. Every form tested end to end, with email deliverability checked.
- Social previews. Titles, descriptions and share images set for every important page.
- Speed and accessibility. Core Web Vitals and WCAG checks on real mobile conditions.
- Backups and monitoring. A first backup before launch, uptime alerts after it.
Who it's for
When a custom build makes sense.
Every update breaks something, the page builder is heavy, and mobile scores are red.
The business needs features the theme cannot do without five more plugins.
A new company or rebrand that deserves a site built to last more than two years.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
What is a custom website?
A website built specifically for your business and content, instead of a general-purpose theme or page builder. It includes only the features you need, which makes it faster and easier to maintain.
Do you build on WordPress?
Often, yes. WordPress gives your team a familiar editor. We write our own theme and blocks instead of using a heavy page builder, so the site stays fast and the design cannot be broken by accident.
Will we be able to edit the site ourselves?
Yes. You edit text, images, pages and posts in a clean editor. We train your team and provide a short guide.
Will we lose our Google rankings when we move?
Not if the move is planned. We map every old URL to its new address with permanent redirects, keep metadata and structured data, and monitor Search Console after launch.
How fast will the site be?
We set performance targets before we build and test against Core Web Vitals before launch, on real mobile conditions, not just a fast laptop.
Who owns the code?
You do. The code lives in a git repository in your name, and you can host it anywhere.
Do you offer hosting and maintenance?
We can set up hosting, CDN and backups, and offer ongoing maintenance with updates, monitoring and security.
How much does a custom website cost?
It depends on the number of templates, features and integrations. After a short call we send a transparent proposal with the cost broken down.
